If you are
a higher education institution that would like to improve air quality in the
New York metro area, you have come to the right place. Clean Air NY will partner
with your school to help achieve air quality goals. Through a collaboration
of staff, faculty and students, a Clean Air Campus helps reduce the number of
cars on the road through simple, everyday travel choices.
What Does a Clean Air Campus Do?
Clean Air
Campuses set policies and host events to show their commitment to our shared
goals.
Some ideas
include:
- Staffing
an informational booth with Clean Air NY materials
- Organizing
a Bike or Walk to Class Day
- Setting
up special parking spaces for carpools
- Creating
a bike-share program
- Distributing
Air Quality Action Day Updates

Why Become a Clean Air Campus?
When
you become a Clean Air Campus, you help create a healthy living and learning
environment for your students, faculty and staff. By encouraging travel choices
that promote cleaner air, you reduce congestion on campus, reduce staff and
student stress and demonstrate your leadership in environmental stewardship.
As
a Clean Air Campus, you receive recognition on the Clean Air NY Web site, assistance
with on-campus events and public relations opportunities. Clean Air NY provides
you with free tools and resources to strengthen your environmental efforts.

You’ll select a student point of contact as well as a staff and/or faculty representative
