Organizations

We're All in This Together

For nonprofit and governmental organizations and agencies, especially those with a community, environmental or health focus, we've created the Clean Air NY community partner program.

Clean Air NY community partners are nonprofit health or environmental organizations, hospitals or medical centers or other community- or faith-based organizations eager to promote Clean Air NY to their members or customers.

We'll give your organization an opportunity for free positive press, highlighting your participation in Clean Air NY marketing materials and other outreach efforts. We also will provide valuable information to share with your members on how to improve their health, especially on Air Quality Action Days.

What Does a Community Partner Do?

Community partners are liaisons between Clean Air NY and their network of members, many of whom want to improve air quality in the New York metro area. Community partners can reach out in several ways, including:

  • Distributing and/or posting information on air quality, especially on Air Quality Action Days.
  • Distributing Clean Air NY outreach materials, such as informative newsletters, brochures and tips.
  • Actively encouraging community change in travel behaviors through everyday choices. As an example, let your members know about the free carpool matching programs available through your local transportation management association.

Benefits of Being a Community Partner

The benefits of becoming a community partner will vary depending on the size and type of your organization as well as your level of interest. Some of the benefits include:

  • Improved health of members and/or customers
  • Enhanced visibility through logo placement on CleanAirNY.org
  • Potential for mention in Clean Air NY newsletter articles and other outreach materials
  • Co-hosted events that promote both Clean Air NY and your organization

The more your organization does, the more visibility and recognition it may receive through Clean Air NY.
